According to the University of Central Florida Police Department, its main library was locked down Tuesday afternoon due to social media reports of a gunwoman inside of the library.
By 5 p.m., the police said that normal operations have resumed at the university and that the library had been cleared of any threat.
Police advised students and others to avoid the area around the university's library. All other operations at the university are taking place as usual.
There have been no reports of shots fired or injuries due to Tuesday's incident.
