Imagine being a die-hard Star Wars fan and suddenly having Harrison Ford, AKA Han Solo, suddenly show up on your video call.
That’s exactly what happened to a number of enthusiasts who were suddenly gatecrashed by the legendary actor himself. Ford took part in the stunt to raise awareness for a new charity campaign that contacted past donors via Skype, the Daily Mirror reports.
The donors were contacted so they could learn about an upcoming fundraiser, but little did they know that Ford would walk into the shot without any warning, prompting most of the donors to react with alarm and even jump out of their seats in some cases (view below).
Harrison, between the emotional reactions, filled fans in on the new campaign, which is being run by non-profit organization Omaze. But what makes the campaign even more attractive to donors?
It gives them the chance to appear at the film’s premiere, allowing them also the meet the cast and walk the red carpet. You can enter to win the contest at Omaze.
Fear not – if you don’t win the contest, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to catch "The Force Awakens" when it hits theaters Dec. 18.
