NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Individuals or families in Middle Tennessee who earned less than $66,000 in 2019 are eligible for free tax prep services.
The United Way of Nashville and its partners have launched their annual Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) free tax prep program. The volunteers are IRS-certified.
They’ve opened 24 VITA sites in Middle Tennessee, including eight locations in Davidson County. They will remain open until April. Here’s a list of the Nashville locations:
- “Belmont University (1900 Belmont Blvd., Nashville, TN): Limited to F, J, M or Q immigration Visa status (International Students). To schedule an appointment, call 615.830.7940. Wednesdays 5 to 7 p.m. Appointment only. Site closes April 15.”
- “Conexion Americas (2195 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN): Mondays, Wednesdays 9 a.m. to noon, 1 to 6 p.m.; Tuesdays, Thursdays 9 a.m. to noon, 1 to 4 p.m. Spanish only. Appointment only. Site closes April 15.”
- “Financial Independence Center (302 Foster St., Nashville, TN): Mondays 9 a.m. to noon; Tuesdays, Thursdays 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Walk in. Site closes April 15.”
- “The Redeemed Christian Church of God (3221 Nolensville Road, Nashville, TN): Saturdays noon to 4 p.m.; Sundays 2 to 4 p.m. Walk in. Site closes April 5.”
- “St. Luke’s Community House (5601 New York Ave., Nashville, TN): Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointment only. Site closes April 10.”
- “Tennessee State University - Avon Williams Campus (330 10th Ave. N., Rm. AWC 250, Nashville, TN): Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Walk in. Site closes April 11.”
- “Westwood Baptist Church (2510 Albion St., Nashville, TN): Mondays, Thursdays 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 4 to 7 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays 9:30 a.m. to noon; Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Walk in. Site closes April 15.”
- “Woodbine Super Site (635 Spence Lane, Nashville, TN): Mondays, Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Fridays 9 a.m. to noon; Saturdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Walk in. Site closes April 15.”
