A mobile home park in East Nashville is now making way for a condo development with more than 100 units.
Rochford Realty and Construction Company says it has the property off Meridian Street in Nashville under contract.
The vision includes 108 condo flats, 44 townhomes and 6 duplexes: something the developer calls "workforce" type housing, with the small flats starting at $170,000.
But the development means the people living in the mobile home park will all have to find a new place to live.
"I'll probably have to move outside the perimeter of Nashville, that's where I can afford," said Pat Ross, a resident of the mobile home park who will have to move if the sale is finalized. "If I owned it, I would do the same thing, it's just progress."
The developer said he's planning to meet with the neighbors sometime this week, and hopefully break ground by the end of the year.
