NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A new music festival has been announced for the 2020 St. Jude Rock 'n' Roll Marathon. The music festival will be at the race finish line at Nissan Stadium, and serve as an all-day event where race participants, their families and friends, as well as spectators, can all celebrate the day and the marathon with live music.

The St. Jude Rock 'n' Roll Nashville Music Festival will take place April 25. Co-headlining the festival are Michael Ray and Carley Pearce. Local talents Yankton, Chris Shrader and Less Kerr will kick off the event in the morning, while Erin Kinsey will open the evening festivities.

"The new St. Jude Rock 'n' Roll Nashville Music Festival presented by PNC Bank is another step in making our events more inclusive of all runners, their friends and families, loyal volunteers and our supportive community, said Drew Wolff, regional director for Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series. "We strive to make our race a memorable event for everyone as we celebrate over two decades of premier running partnered with high caliber music in Nashville. Saturday's music festival concert will give everyone a full day of exciting performances as this town celebrates the best-in-class running event in Music City."

Outside of the April 25 music festival, the event will showcase some other singer/songwriters throughout race weekend. The free and open-to-the-public Health and Fitness Expo will feature performances by Golden West, Lance Carpenter, Janelle Arthur, Rockland Road and Adam Warner April 23 and April 24 at the Music City Center. Jillian Cardarelli will showcase at the one-mile race at Cumberland Park behind Ascend Amphitheater on April 23.

Saturday morning and afternoon music festival performances will be free and open to the public, before a ticketed event begins in the evening. Festival gates will reopen for that at 5:30 p.m. Admission for the evening show is complimentary to all runners with their bib and to all volunteers who have their staff shirts.

General admission tickets for the evening concert are open to the public and are $10. 50% of the proceeds from sales will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Tickets can be purchased at the 2020 St. Jude Rock 'n' Roll Nashville Marathon web page or at the gate.
