Playful pups were the stars of the show at this year's Dog Days of Summer dog show at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
The hospital teamed up with Mars Petcare. At Wednesday's event, they announced the creation of "The Mars Petcare Pet Therapy Fund," which includes a dedicated facility dog.
The new program will bring the healing power of pets to more children and families.
They plan to collect data to see just how much therapy dogs can improve the healing experience.
