NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The inside of Bridgestone Arena has been getting a new look.
NewsChannel 5 got a glimpse inside Wednesday as 7,500 new seats were being installed.
They have also been resurfacing the concrete.
Fans got to vote on the style for the new seats, which were being placed in the lower bowl for now.
"The old seats have been in here since 1997, and we do about 115 to 120 shows per year over 18 or 19 years, so they’ve seen quite a bit of wear and tear,” said Nat Harden, Senior Vice President of Ticket Sales. “It’s time to replace them, and this will be a significant upgrade
The bathrooms and concession stands were also set to get an upgrade. It has been planned to change the upper level seats in 2016.
