NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The NewsChannel 5 Network has partnered with Belmont University and The Tennessean to host a televised mayoral debate ahead of the August 1 election.

The event is set for 6 p.m. on June 25 at Belmont’s McAfee Concert Hall. It will air live on NewsChannel 5 and will be streamed on NewsChannel5.com.

News Director Sandy Boonstra said NewsChannel 5 is “excited to once again be partnering with the Tennessean and Belmont University.”

“It is vital for voters to have as many opportunities as possible to make an informed decision before going to the polls,” Boonstra said. “This debate will serve an invaluable role in supplying that information.”

Tickets for the event are sold out.

The last day to register to vote is July 2. Early voting begins July 12 and runs through July 27.
