An investigation got underway overnight after a suspicious fire at a business in north Nashville.

Nashville firefighters said they got a call about a fire at Caribbean Splash Reggae Café and Car Wash around 2 a.m. Friday.

When crews arrived, they could see flames and heavy smoke. The Fire Marshal was called to the scene after firefighters say they found a Molotov cocktail inside the business.

The business owner, Devon Robinson, said he feels like this is a personal attack and hopes that anyone who may have seen something will come forward with information.

“I work very hard seven days a week for two years for this business and it’s a shame if it’s somebody who did this to me and I’m hopeful to God they find out who did it because I don’t deserve it,” he said.

No one was hurt in the fire.

If you have any information that could help investigators, call the Tennessee Arson Hotline at 1-800-762-3017.

A gofundme page was set up in order to help the owners.
