NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Nashville Fire Department officials say a man who jumped into the Cumberland River while running from police has yet to be located.
Fire department officials say the man was placed under arrest after getting into a fight with another man in downtown Nashville.
He went into the river to escape and was seen swimming about halfway across when officers lost sight of him.
NFD officials say they dispatched a boat and OEM divers searched the area before later terminating the command. It's not clear when they will resume the search.
