Nonprofit sends necklaces to MNPD officers in honor of Ofc. Anderson

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A nonprofit is sending special necklaces and dog tags to the family of fallen Officer John Anderson as well as other Metro Police Department officers.

Point 27 is a nonprofit that aims to encourage members of the Armed Forces, First Responders, Veterans and their family with engraved dog tags and folded flag necklaces.

The group said its sending flag necklaces to Officer Anderson's family. And 27 members of the MNPD will receive thin blue line dog tags with the verse Matthew 5:9 on the back.

So far the organization has given dog tags to 70,000 police officers and 333,000 soldiers.
