Authorities have arrested an Oak Ridge pastor on a human trafficking charge as part of a three-day Tennessee Bureau of Investigation operation.
Media outlets report that 32-year-old Zubin Percy Parakh was arrested Saturday on charges of human trafficking of a child. According to the website for Lifehouse Church in Oak Ridge, Parakh is creative pastor at the church.
Records say Parakh responded to an online advertisement expecting to meet a 17-year-old girl and to pay $100 for one-half hour of sex. Instead, when he entered the room at a Knoxville hotel, he found TBI agents and Knoxville Police officers.
Parakh's arrest was part of TBI's "Operation Someone Like Me." In addition to Parakh, another church pastor and 30 other people were charged during the three-day operation.
It's unclear if Parakh has an attorney.
