NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Court documents revealed what led to charges against an off-duty Sumner County Sheriff's Department correctional officer.
Metro Nashville Police say Hector Becerra went to Plaza Mariachi on Sunday and asked to talk to his ex-girlfriend.
The woman's current boyfriend tried to stop them from walking away.
According to a police affidavit, Becerra threw his ex-girlfriend to the ground and punched her boyfriend in the face at least eight times. He was charged with domestic assault.
Becerra was also a reserve officer for the Gallatin Police Department.
