PARIS, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper has resigned from his position following a drunk driving arrest.
THP said Daryl Veliz was arrested in Paris, Tenn. early Monday morning and charged with driving under the influence, refusal of implied consent and possession of a weapon while intoxicated.
Veliz was placed on discretionary leave with pay, but resigned from the department Wednesday.
