NASHVILLE, Tenn. – There has been more growth and construction planned in Music City.

Mayor Karl Dean joined officials from a development company to break ground on Skyhouse Nashville.

The 25-story luxury apartment high-rise has been planned for the corner of Broadway and 17th Avenue in midtown.

The project was aimed to accommodate Nashville's rapid growth.

“The music, the sports, the arts, people are attracted to these amenities and the incredible natural resources that we have: miles of greenways and the beautiful public parks,” Mayor Dean said. “People of all ages are moving here, but the city is particularly attractive to young adults.”

Simpson Housing, Novare Group, and Batson-Cook have completed six of these Skyhouse projects in Denver, Austin, and Houston.
