Suspects arrested in shooting that left another teen dead in East Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A teen is dead after a shooting in East Nashville Sunday evening.

The shooting took place in the 500 block of South 5th Street near the James Cayce Homes apartment community.

According to Metro Police, 15-year-old Zacchaeus Johnson reportedly shot 16-year-old Antonio Baker in a parking lot just before 6 p.m.

Baker was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he later died.

Johnson initially fled the scene but was later taken into custody in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Kyvion McGill, 15, and Davone Elliott, 15, were each charged with Criminal Homicide on August 14 for their alleged involvement in Baker's death.

Police say that a drug-related robbery motive is under investigation.
