NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A woman died following a condominium fire in Hermitage early Saturday morning.

According to the Nashville Fire Department, a resident at Fox Run Condominiums smelled smoke before going outside and finding the fire in the 900 block of Old Fountain Place some time before 1 a.m. The resident tried to alert others in their complex to the fire.

When NFD arrived, crews worked to contain the fire to only one unit. The woman, identified as 52-year-old Shannon Stoner, died at the scene. Her death has been ruled accidental but investigators are still looking into what caused the fire.
