NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — One teenager is dead, with two others critically injured, following a Wednesday crash on Couchville Pike in Nashville, Metro Nashville Police said.

The single-vehicle crash happened on the 2500 block of Couchville Pike.

The driver of the vehicle, 18-year-old Kevin Duke Jr., died. The passengers, 17-year-old Aidan Sullivan and 17-year-old Gerome White, were critically injured, and are at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

MNPD says their prelimary investigation shows that Duke was driving his 2003 Acura east on Couchville Pike at a high rate of speed, when it went off the road in a curve. Duke over-corrected, and the Acura went off the opposite side of the road. It then struck a culvert before hitting a tree on the driver's side.

No signs of alcohol or drug use were found at the scene.
