One Hospitalized With Burns After House Fire

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – One person was transported to the hospital with minor burns after a fire at a house in Nashville.

The fire broke out around 3:30 p.m. Monday at a home on Claibourne Street, just south of Murfreesboro Avenue.

Officials did not release information about the cause of the fire, but crews could be seen pulling two burned mattresses out of the home.

One male victim was carried away from the home on a stretcher and transported by ground to an area hospital. Officials said the man suffered light burns.

An estimate of the damages to the home was not available.
