NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — An investigation remains ongoing after police say a 17-year-old shot his mother in the head before turning the gun on himself Tuesday night in Nashville.
Metro Nashville police were called to the home on Chesapeake Drive at 8:25 p.m. after a family member called 911 to report that 37-year-old Tiffany Redmon had been shot by her son, Jshaun Redmon.
Police said Jshaun Redmon fled the home and was found dead in a yard across the street from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Tiffany Redmon was taken to an area hospital, where she has since died. Wednesday was her 38th birthday.
Investigators said they’re still conducting interviews in the case.
