Arrest Made In Clarksville Shooting That Injured 1

An arrest has been made in an overnight shooting that injured one person in Clarksville. 

Officers with Clarksville Police said two men got in to an argument on Ringgold Court around 3 a.m. Tuesday.

Police arrived on the scene and found that the 35-year-old victim had been shot in the chest. The person was rushed to an area hospital with serious injuries.

The suspect, identified as 53-year-old Carl Rav Scaggs, was arrested a short time later off of Golf Club Lane in Clarksville. Prior to the shooting, police said he slapped a woman with whom he had a previous relationship. 

Scaggs was charged with attempted criminal homicide. His bond was set at $500,000. 

The investigation remained ongoing.
