One Injured In Shooting In Edgehill Neighborhood

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police were called out to investigate after one person was injured in a shooting in the Edgehill area.

Police said the victim was a man in his 30s. His identity was not released. 

The shooting happened around 10:45 a.m. Friday at 1366 11th Avenue South, near the interchange with Horton Avenue. The victim did not live at the location, but was there visiting. 

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said a man came to the apartment looking for the victim. He was there with two other people. 

After some kind of altercation, the victim was shot multiple times in the leg. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and was listed in stable condition. The victim was expected to recover from his iinjuries. 

Police said the victim was targeted. They were speaking with one of the witnesses who was being cooperative, but was not providing a lot of information. They were expected to speak with the other witness. 

Officers with the Crime Scene Investigations team of the Metro Nashville Police Department were on the scene and gathering evidence.
