NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — One person was injured in a shooting near the West End of Nashville Thursday.

Metro Police officials at the scene said a man was shot in his midsection, but his injuries are not life-threatening.

The shooting happened in the parking lot of the Kwik Sak on 28th Avenue and West End Avenue, but the victim walked to the nearby McDonald's to get help.

Investigators believe an altercation led to the shooting because of multiple different shell casings found at the scene, and they're investigating the possibility that shots were exchanged between the parties involved.

This is a developing story. We will update this story as soon as more information becomes available.
