MILLERSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A male juvenile has been taken into custody after a traffic stop near Millersville.

Millersville police confirmed the ordeal began overnight Thursday as a traffic stop on Bethel Road.

Four suspects reportedly ditched the car on South Swift Road and ran on foot. They even tried to call a taxi in an effort to escape.

Officers arrested one of them immediately.

Police K9s tracked scents in the direction of Interstate 65 where they believe two of the males got rides.

They took a male into custody before 8 a.m. a few miles from South Swift Road who they believe was the fourth person in the vehicle.

Officers also arrested a female juvenile who came to pick up the four males.

Investigators recovered a vehicle stolen out of Davidson County on the scene.

Out of precaution, marked police cruisers followed school buses on their routes Thursday morning.

Two males remain on the run. Police do not have details on their physical descriptions.
