NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man was killed and another person was injured in a three-vehicle collision Friday evening on Bell Road near Hickory Highlands Drive.
The crash was reported at 7:49 p.m. in the 600 block of Bell Road, according to Metro Nashville Police Department.
Metro Police report that 21-year-old Luis Alberto Torres Ambrosico was driving a red Nissan Altima south on Bell Road before he crossed into the left turn lane.
The Altima struck a Toyota Prius before returning to its original lane. Ambrosico then hit a Toyota Venza.
Ambrosico was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center following the accident. He later died at the hospital.
Officials report that the 26-year-old Prius driver was transported to Vanderbilt and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Neither the driver or passenger of the Venza were injured.
Police say there were no signs of intoxication at the scene in the drivers of the Prius or Venza.
The Medical Examiner's Office is working to conduct toxicology testing to determine if impairment was a factor in the fatal crash.
