NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — One person was killed Monday morning in a four-vehicle crash in Nashville.
The wreck happened before 7 a.m. on Murfreesboro Pike near Mt. View Road. Metro police said speed was the primary factor in the crash.
According to police, 25-year-old Chevalier Walden was driving his 2015 Nissan Altima when he topped a hill and lost control in a curve. The car traveled into oncoming traffic and hit a Chevrolet Impala and a Honda Accord before it was hit on the passenger side by a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.
Investigators said Walden, who was not wearing a seat belt, died shortly after arriving at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The occupants of the three other vehicles were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said there were no signs of alcohol or drug use by anyone involved.
