A man was shot while he was sitting in a shopping plaza in Antioch Friday morning.
The shooting happened on Apache Trail at about 2:30a.m.
A witness who was a passenger in the truck involved told officers two men approached the truck and one of them shot the driver. When officers arrived to the scene, they said the driver had a gunshot wound to his lower back. The witness told officers he didn't know the two suspects.
The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was undergoing surgery.
Investigators have been trying to figure out a motive as the investigation remained ongoing.
