NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — An overnight crash on Interstate 24 near Shelby Avenue is the cause of a man's death early Saturday morning.
According to Metro police, officers were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on I-24 West at mile marker 49 around 11:30 p.m. Friday. The crash involved a Ford F-150 and a UPS double trailer semi truck.
The UPS truck had stalled out just before the exit when the F-150 crashed into the back of the second trailer.
The victim had to be removed from the F-150 by the Nashville Fire Department.
The man was then taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was pronounced dead there just before 12:30 a.m.
