Overpass Named 'Bridgey McBridgeface' For 1 Day

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - As ordered by a proclamation from Murfreesboro's mayor, a newly built overpass was named "Bridgey McBridgeface," but only for April Fool's Day.

The Bridge over Broad was a project 20 years in the making and cost nearly $23 million, and when city officials in Murfreesboro asked for naming suggestions, hundreds of people filled out a survey requesting it be named "Bridgey McBridgeface."

It was not clear what the bridge will officially be named after April 1.
