Interstate 65 was closed in both directions when a cattle trailer overturned.
Reports stated the wreck happened near mile marker 45 in Maury County just before 4 a.m. Sunday, and the interstate was closed for a few hours.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured; however, local farmers and veterinarians responded to the scene for several cows that had various injuries.
Authorities confirmed one cow had to be euthanized. They said all other cows were removed and loaded onto another trailer.
The cause of the crash had not been released.
