NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The driver of a tractor trailer was not injured Monday after his truck overturned on the on-ramp of Interstate 24 in East Nashville.
The incident was reported shortly before 5 a.m. Monday at Spring Street. The truck was hauling dry mix for concrete.
If you were just watching @NC5_RSchleicher and I on @NC5_PLUS, as soon as I finished my report they flipped the tanker hauling dry mix for concrete. Now, they just have to haul the tanker away. Clear time is 8 a.m. pic.twitter.com/3fJNzWU8qM

The driver told Blayke Roznowski that this is a regular route for him and he wasn't taking the curve too fast. He said he started to feel the back end begin to loosen and said there’s a safety mechanism in semis that automatically starts to brake if that happens -- which may have caused it to tip.
The ramp was blocked for several hours.
