Interstate 40 West was closed due to an overturned tractor trailer. Crews were on scene for several hours.
It happened Thursday afternoon at the 169 mile marker in Dickson.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the tanker truck was hauling fuel. It overturned in the median.
The investigation was ongoing. One lane was opened around 4 p.m.
It was expected to reopen around midnight, but both lanes were closed for a second time around 9 p.m. with a estimated clear time around 1 a.m.
