Cancer survivors and men and women from across Nashville have been looking good and feeling better after getting some pampering.
The Nashville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta hosted a special event called "Look Good, Feel Better" at Maplewood High School Saturday.
Stylists, masseuses, manicurists, and more donated their time to provide services at discounted rates.
This was the third year for the event, and participants said it was the best one yet.
“It’s a good feeling just giving back and helping one another,” said Sherita Majors, a stylist and cancer survivor. “The love from everybody and with the things going on in the world right now, we need that.”
Proceeds from the event were set to benefit the American Cancer Society. Participants also had a chance to learn about how to prevent breast cancer.
