NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Beloved Nashville bar Paradise Park is reopening on Broadway more than a year after it closed.
After a 10-year run, Paradise Park closed last summer – leaving many locals, who loved its character and cheap drink, distraught.
Strategic Hospitality, which owns the Nashville staple, said the bar will come back to its former location in early December.
As a comeback party, Downtown Sporting Club is hosting "Hot Chicken & Jorts" on Saturday, December 7 from 5 - 8 p.m. where all-you-can-eat hot chicken and tater tots will be served.
When the bar closed in 2018, Strategic Hospitality announced the building would become Downtown Sporting Club, which includes a restaurant, coffee house, sports bar with ax throwing, a hotel and a garden rooftop. The business opened earlier this year.
Downtown Sporting Club is now making room to bring back Paradise Park. A portion of the first floor will be split in two, one side for the main restaurant The Ribbon Room, the other for Paradise Park.
Before the trailer-themed bar closed down, a weekend of activities were held for locals to say goodbye, which included selling 50 framed pieces of astroturf.
