GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. – A mother and father have been charged with multiple counts of neglect after three young children were found living in what police said were unsafe conditions.
Officers with Metro Police were called to the M Star motel, located on Cedar Street in Goodlettsville, last week.
Inside police found three children -- ages 5, 2 and a year and a half old -- living in a dirty room that allegedly had trash, liquor bottles and leftover food scattered on the floor.
Officials said the children had not been bathed in several days.
James Haage and Jessica Duke were taken into custody at the scene. Officials with the Department of Children’s Services took the children into custody.
The suspects were arrested for domestic assault and booked on multiple counts of child neglect.
