NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Nashville Mayor John Cooper announced a portion of Broadway would be closed to traffic Sunday night to promote social distancing.
Cooper said the road would be closed between 4th and 5th Avenue from 6 to 11 p.m., in an effort to give more space for pedestrians.
Officers were on scene to divert traffic.
From 6 p.m. until 11 p.m., Broadway will be closed between 4th and 5th Ave for pedestrians to promote social distancing. @MNPDNashville will have traffic control officers to route vehicles around the closure.

It's unclear if the city will implement another traffic closure at some point. Right now, the city remains in its modified Phase Two plan of reopening.
