Build-A-Bear has closed lines in its U.S. stores amid safety concerns of overcrowding for its “Pay Your Age Day.”
The company posted on its website Thursday morning that they “cannot accept additional Guests at our U.S. Build-A-Bear Workshop locations due to crowd and safety concerns.”
“We have closed lines in our U.S. stores. We understand some of our Guests are disappointed and we will reach out directly as soon as possible.”
Build-A-Bear announced the event days ago in which all guests would be able to pay their current age in dollars to create a new furry friend.
At the Build-A-Bear location in Opry Mills, long lines stretched the length of the mall.
