GALLATIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — A pedestrian who was returning to her vehicle was struck by a driver on 31E early on Monday evening and later died of her injuries, police say.
Susan Keller of Westmoreland was reported to have been having car trouble on 31E, just north of Rock Bridge Market.
After several motorists stopped to assist her, Keller crossed 31E to go to the market. When she attempted to return to her vehicle, however, Keller was struck by a Ford pickup truck.
She was taken to Sumner Regional Medical Center where she later passed away.
An investigation is ongoing but police say no impairment or distractions are suspected.
