A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car overnight.
The wreck happened a little after 11 p.m. Friday near Lafayette and Division Streets, just south of downtown.
Officers said the pedestrian was not in the crosswalk when he was hit.
He was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police confirmed the driver did stop to check on the victim and will not face charges.
