NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man was killed after he was struck by a vehicle as he crossed the street on Old Hickory Blvd. late Friday night.
He was later identified as Paul Shotarski, 56, of Maryland.
Just after 10:30 Friday night, he attempted to cross the street on the 15000 block of Old Hickory Blvd. According to officials, Shotarski was walking outside of a crosswalk when a driver hit him with their vehicle.
He was transported to the hospital with injuries, but was later pronounced deceased.
Investigators say the driver did not show any signs of impairment. Preliminary reports say Shotarski walking across the road outside of a crosswalk was the main factor in the accident.
