A person suffered serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle in East Nashville.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the victim was hit around 8:30 p.m. in front of Sammy's Citgo gas station at Main Street and South 5th Street.
The person was seriously injured and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The vehicle remained at the scene after the incident and while officers continued to investigate.
The victim's condition was unknown. The details surrounding the incident were also unclear.
