CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tennessee Highway Patrol has identified the person killed in a wreck on I-40 near mile marker 190 early Sunday morning as Monica Contreras.
According to THP the crash happened when a Ford F150 pickup truck hauling a trailer was disabled and blocked the interstate.
Contreras was in a Ford box truck driven by Diamante Gomez. Gomez tried to avoid the disabled F150 and ended up turning sideways in the interstate. A tanker truck then hit them in the side causing them to roll.
Gomez was also injured in the crash.
