NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Animal Care and Control (MACC) is waiving all adoption fees on Mother's Day this year.

According to the flier sent out by MACC, on May 12 only, adoption fees will be waived in honor of all the mothers of Nashville, including moms of dogs, cats, ferrets and bunnies.

MACC is open for adoption every day from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. If you're interested in adding a family member this Mother's Day, you can do so during those hours tomorrow. MACC claims to have nearly 70 animals looking for a home.

To see all of the pets who are up for adoption at MACC, you can head on over to Pet Harbor, search using ZIP code 37211 and select Davidson County's Metro Animal Control. It will ask for a couple of search preferences, such as the type of animal you're looking to adopt. After you fill out your search terms, you'll be shown all of the available animals meeting those terms. MACC also reminds potential adopters they can come down and meet the animals in person.

MACC has a couple of Facebook posts with information on their Mother's Day adoption event. Adopting a new pet from MACC typically involves fees. For more information on pet adoption at MACC, check out the adoption page on their website.

Happy Mother's Day, and happy adopting!
