MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Authorities in Tennessee say a 3-year-old has been shot and wounded while riding in a car along a Memphis street.
News outlets report Memphis police say the toddler was wounded Monday and taken to a hospital in critical condition. The department later said the toddler’s condition was upgraded to non-critical.
Police say the child was riding in car that was shot at by another driver. The toddler’s uncle, Colin Wren, tells WREG-TV the toddler was shot in the neck.
He says the child’s father was driving the car the toddler was riding in and didn’t know the other driver. An investigation is ongoing.
