NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville Police officials arrested 19-year-old Caleb Walker in connection to a deadly overnight shooting.

Police officials say Walker shot and killed 32-year-old Brandon Mullins early Monday morning. Officials say the two had a confrontation over Mullins' girlfriend, who used to date Walker.

Officers were called to the parking lot of the Union on Thompson Apartments and found Mullins on the ground with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Detectives issued the arrest warrant for Walker after interviewing Mullins’ girlfriend, who witnessed part of the altercation.

The police department’s special response team found him in a friend’s apartment at the same complex. They also recovered a semi-automatic pistol.

Walker is being held without bond pending a hearing.
