NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville Police Juvenile Crime Task Force officers arrested two people and recovered a stolen vehicle and guns during an investigation Thursday.
Police officials say officers found a stolen Nissan Sentra parked outside the Fallbrook Apartments on Dellway Villa Road. The Sentra had been stolen overnight Wednesday from an apartment complex at 501 Ben Allen Road.
Officers arrested 25-year-old Latrelle Cox and a 14-year-old. The teen had two handguns, including one that was stolen, according to police officials. Officers say they recovered a handgun from the back seat of the Sentra after they saw Cox place it there.
Cox, who has a prior robbery conviction, was charged with felon in possession of a gun. He is free on a $5,000 bond. The 14-year-old was charged in Juvenile Court with two counts of unlawful gun possession.
