Police arrest four in connection with Coopertown drive-by shooting

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WTVF) — An investigation into a theft of property has led to the arrest of four people in connection with a drive-by shooting that occurred in Coopertown.

The four suspects, Zachary Allen, 20, Stephanie Fisher, 18, William Read, 18, and Garett Perez, 20, were originally being investigated for a theft that occurred at a residence on Waymann Dunn Road, where several firearms were stolen. These included a 30-30 cal. Rifle, 30-06 cal. Rifle, and a 9mm handgun.

However, information obtained by police determined that the suspects were also involved in a drive-by shooting.

Currently all four suspects are being held at the Robertson County Detention Facility on charges of Theft of Property over $1,000 by Robertson County Sheriff's Department.

Additionally, Perez, Allen, and Read are being charged with Criminal Attempt-First Degree Murder, Reckless Endangerment, and Vandalism by the Coopertown Police Department.

This is an ongoing investigation.
