A man wanted in connection to a shooting over the weekend that sent a woman to the hospital has surrendered to police.
Officials with the Franklin Police Department said Devonta Haynes gave himself up to officers Wednesday night.
Investigators said the 22-year-old was riding in the backseat of a car when he shot the driver in the back and jumped out of the car.
Haynes faces a charge of felony reckless endangerment.
Authorities have confirmed the gun used in that shooting is missing.
Police said Haynes admitted to tossing the gun into a grassy area along Franklin's West Main Street corridor.
Officials have been unable to locate the gun and have been urging parents to talk to their children about what to do if they come across a gun.
Let them know to never touch a gun and to tell an adult immediately.
