CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Clarksville police arrested in a man in connection to a robbery at a store on July 28.
Police said 29-year-old Demarion Jaquaz Jones entered a store in the 2300 block of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard around 1 a.m.
He was wearing a black bandanna to cover his face and pointed a silver handgun at the clerk, demanding money.
After money was put into his bag, he was seen running south along Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.
Police said a few days later on August 2, Jones entered a hotel on Fair Brook Place, pointed a gun at the front desk clerk and demanded money.
Both robberies were caught on video surveillance.
Police asked for the public's help identifying the robber, and received 11 tips that it was Jones. They also received corroborating information linking the crimes to him.
On August 8, Jones was seen by officers in Clarksville and taken into custody.
He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail for two counts of aggravated robbery, coercion of a witness, evading arrest and simple possession. His total bond was set at $195,000.
