LEBANON, Tenn. – Authorities confirmed a man’s body was found near a dance club in Lebanon.
The body was discovered around 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of the Silverado East dance club on South College Street.
According to reports, someone who had been cleaning the lot called police saying they had seen a man passed out in the grassy area near the back end of the parking lot.
The identity of the man has not been released; however, officials have said the victim was Hispanic.
Police said the man appeared to be in his mid 20's or 30's, and they added they believe he was in the dance club at some point Saturday night.
Authorities said they're not sure when he arrived or what time he left, and they've been hoping surveillance video will be available at the club to clear that up.
The police chief said they'd also like to know if he was involved in some kind of altercation inside the club.
The cause of death has not been determined. Authorities said they were hesitant to call this a homicide investigation, but based on the man's age, they're leaning that way unless an autopsy proves otherwise.
Anyone with information has been urged to contact the Lebanon Police Department.
